Arabisque Font Sample

Description:Arabesque (or Arabesque) is a complicated font that contain over 500 character cells so far, therefore, it had to be built around GX technology from Apple to support the large character database. The current version is under development on MacOS platform. It may take a while until we see a release of this font, unless we receive an order from publishers or users that would want it on an exclusive basis, which in turn will enable us to dedicate more time to its development.  It is "What you See Is What You Get" -- More description may be added in the future to this page

Any Ornamental, Qura'nic or title use. The font can be acquired on exclusive bases by an organization and/or to maintain a corporate image in order to distinguish their advertisement and/or documentation. Many application may be possible beyond our knowledge. For exclusivity licensing, please contact developer prior to initial release date by sending me an email abdulla@faris.com.
The font is designed from scratch to achieve eligibility and clarity when read on the fly utilizing an ornamental Arabesque-Kufi style engineered like no other. The rest of the characters manifest this philosophy, as each character has to go through morphosis cycles until it is perfected from all angles, in terms of beauty, coherence and balance. Check the downloadable files to see the evolution of this font as it occurs. We will attempt to develop a corresponding Latin/Roman (English) font based on the the same concept in order to complement this development, however, the latter font is not a priority, but it is in the works and we have a achieved a considerable amount of success. The typefaces can support all the standard features such as Italics, Shadowing and Outlining. The Bold feature will be turned off to prevent the broken stems from being smeared and to maintain readability in small point sizes.
The concept has been in my drawers for the past 12 years and came to live as I started to experiment in constructing full titles and names and when I perfected the ratios and balance of heights, widths and bases (accents and decents). It is now a reality and we hope to excel the development as fast as we can. Should we get contacted by an interested party for exclusivity, we believe we can dedicate more time to the development of this font.
